Compound

Compound

A compound is a combination of polymer materials such as various grades of polyethylene and the like, which are added to the raw materials to improve their physical, mechanical, and thermal properties. These compounds are generally produced in granular form and are used in various polymer product compositions. In other words, a compound is a mixture of several types of polymer bases with additives to improve the structure and properties of the produced product. Two of the most common polymer compounds are polyethylene polymer compound and polypropylene polymer compound. When additives are added to a polyethylene-based polymer, the result is a polyethylene polymer compound, and when additives are added to a polypropylene-based polymer, the result is a polypropylene polymer compound. Sometimes, manufacturers encounter problems such as weak physical properties, reduced properties, undesirable color, and so on when producing certain polymer products. Therefore, because of product incompatibility, masterbatch cannot be used. In such cases, by adding materials such as a compound during the plastic injection and extrusion process, the chemical properties and reactivity of the product are enhanced. From an economic and health perspective, the use of compounds in the production of polymer products is more cost-effective than masterbatch. This is because compounds do not have the ancillary costs of cleaning and mixing involved in the use of masterbatch. Asan Form Kimia is one of the prominent suppliers and exporters of each kind of polymer compound in Iran.
