Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) granules are obtained through multi-stage polymerization between pure terephthalic acids and mono-ethylene glycol. Today, the production of various grades of PET is popular among many petrochemical companies due to its recyclability. This type of granule has various properties due to its chemical structure and the type of shape and reactions that occur in it. It is resistant to moisture and water, various chemicals, impacts, and stresses, has high transparency and semi-crystalline, is cost-effective, has a hard and firm structure, and is an electrical insulator. The applications of PET granules include industries such as clothing and fabric production, mineral water and soft drink bottle production, printing and dyeing industries, and more. PET granules are also used in 3D printing for electronic and mechanical component manufacturing. The non-breakability of PET granules has made them suitable for making some types of glass used in gas stoves, testers, and more.
